I am somewhere in between.

I can adapt to change, or I can’t adapt to change. I can embrace change when I am truly ready. I am never ready when life suddenly slap me. Example like death. It took me quite a while to accept and move along. I can embrace change when I want it, example like changing of work environment. It is the wants and need to.

I am truly sorry for all the trouble.
Perhaps, I just like the poison Apple better.

I am glad that we were still friends despite over what has happened. I am glad that we were matured enough. I can't never explain why things happen, but believe that things happens because He wills it to happen. I too believe it's how we manage and react to things that happened. Alhamdulillah, we are winners for overcoming this.

Lunch time is always the best.
It's a way meaning to take a break and sleep. It is very important for us working on sites. Especially for these workers. They work pretty hard and long hours, and by catching up on sleep is pretty crucial. Therefore, I seek kind understanding for the public to be at least humane. They build this country for you, yet you lack empathy and kindness. They are far away from families and all you do is smirk. Spread love and thanks, instead to always complain.

I prayed for Singaporeans to be more welcoming for all this foreign workers. And I am glad to open my eyes and have a heart to feel. Alhamdulillah.

God said in Quran that Prophets and Messengers were sent to every nation on earth and that they all spread the same message – to worship One God, alone, without partners, sons, or daughters.  The majority of Prophets mentioned in the Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad are recognisable, and considered prophets in both the Jewish and Christian faiths.  Prophet Saleh however, is one of only four Arab prophets and his story is not universally known.
“And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad); of some of them We have related to you their story and of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of God.” (Quran 40:78)
Ad and Thamud were two great civilisations destroyed by God due to their excessive wickedness.  After the destruction of Ad, Thamud succeeded them in power and grandeur.  The people led wealthy excessive lives, built grand buildings, both on the plains, and carved into the hills.  Unfortunately with their extravagant lifestyles came idol worship and wickedness.  Prophet Saleh was sent to warn the people of Thamud, that God was not pleased with their behaviour, and would rain down destruction upon them, if they did not mend their evil ways.
Saleh was a pious, righteous man who held a position of leadership in the community, but his call to worship God alone infuriated many people.  Some understood the wisdom of his words, but the majority of the people disbelieved and harmed Saleh with both words and actions.
"O Saleh!  You have been among us as a figure of good hope and we wished for you to be our chief, till this, new thing, which you have brought that we leave our gods, and worship your God alone!  Do you now forbid us the worship of what our fathers have worshipped?  But we are really in grave doubt as to that which you invite us to monotheism.” (Quran 11:62)
The people of Thamud gathered at their meeting place, in the shadows of a great mountain.  They demanded that Saleh prove that the One God he spoke of was truly mighty and strong.  They asked him to perform a miracle – to cause a unique and incomparable she camel to emerge from the nearby mountains.  Saleh addressed his people asking, if the camel appeared would they then believe in his message.  They answered a resounding yes, and together the people prayed with Saleh for the miracle to occur.
By the grace of God, an enormous, ten month pregnant she camel emerged from the rocks at the bottom of the mountain.  Some of the people understood the magnitude of this miracle but the majority continued to disbelieve.  They saw a great and dazzling sight yet remained arrogant and stubborn.
“We sent the she camel to Thamud as a clear sign, but they did her wrong.” (Quran 17:59)
Quran commentator and Islamic scholar Ibn Kathir informs us that there are a number of accounts of the she camel and her miraculous nature.  It is said that the camel appeared from a rock that split open, and some people pointed out that the camel was so huge it was able to drink all the water in the town’s wells in one day.  Other people said the camel was able to produce enough milk every day to feed the entire population.  The camel lived among the people of Thamud and sadly, the disbelievers who had harassed Saleh turned their anger and resentment towards the camel.
Although many people believed in God, listened to Prophet Saleh, and understood the miracle of the she camel, many others stubbornly refused to listen.  People began to complain that the camel drank too much water, or that she frightened the other livestock.  Prophet Saleh began to fear for the camel.  He warned his people of a great torment that would befall them if they harmed the she camel.
“O my people!  This she camel of God is a sign to you, leave her to feed on God's earth, and touch her not with evil lest a near torment will seize you.” (Quran 11:64)
A group of men encouraged their womenfolk, plotted to kill the she camel and took the first opportunity to shoot her with an arrow and pierce her with a sword.  The she camel fell to the ground and died.  The murderers cheered and congratulated each other and the disbelievers laughed and mocked Saleh.  Prophet Saleh warned the people that a great torment would be upon them with in three days, but he continued to hope that they would see the error of their ways and seek God’s forgiveness.  Prophet Saleh said.  "O my people!  I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have given you good advice but you like not good advisers.”  (Quran 7:79)  However, the people of Thamud jeered at Saleh’s words and planned to destroy him and his family as callously as they had killed the she camel.
“And there were in the city nine men (from the sons of their chiefs), who made mischief in the land, and would not reform.  They said: ‘Swear to another by God that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives, "We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily!  We are telling the truth.’”  (Quran 27: 48 & 49)
God saved Prophet Saleh and all his followers; they packed some meagre belongings, and with heavy hearts, moved to another place.  After three days, Prophet Saleh’s warning came to pass.  The sky was filled with lightening and thunder and the earth shook violently.  God destroyed the city of Thamud and her people died in a torment of fear and disbelief.
Ibn Kathir said that Saleh’s people fell down dead, one and all, all at the same time.  Their arrogance and disbelief could not save them, nor could their idols.  Their large and extravagant buildings afforded them no protection at all.  God continues to send clear guidance to humankind but the disbelievers persist in their arrogance and denial.  God is the most Merciful and the most Forgiving: He loves to forgive.  However, God’s warnings should not to be ignored.  God’s punishment, as the people of Thamud experienced, can be swift and severe.

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) always loved cats. His favourite feline of all was Muezza. Muhammad (saw) was so attached to him, he'd let the cat sit on his lap while he gave his sermons. He'd even drink water that Muezza had previously been lapping up.
There are several well-known tales about Muezza. One says that the cat saved Muhammad from the deadly bite of a venomous snake. Another relates a time when Muezza was asleep on Muhammad's robe when the call to prayers sounded. Although most people would have simply shooed away the cat, Muhammad instead cut off the sleeve of his robe so Muezza could rest in peace. He then stroked Muezza three times to grant him the ability to land on his feet under any circumstances, and also gave him seven lives.

I am nervous, a little bit scared but excited. It's like an overwhelming feelings all come to one. I never thought that I would be going through this again. Despite after all those hurt and the hurls people had for me. I'm ready to face this battle again with one and only hope.

Dear Allah.
I ask You the good through Your Knowledge, and ability through Your Power, and beg (Your favour) out of Your infinite Bounty. For surely You have Power; I have none. You know all; I know not. You are the Great Knower of all things.

If in Your Knowledge, he'll be good for my faith (Deen), for my livelihood, and for the consequences of my affairs, then ordain it for me, and make it easy for me, and bless me therein.

But if in Your Knowledge, he'll be bad for my faith (Deen), for my livelihood, and for the consequences of my affairs, then turn it away from me, and turn me away therefrom, and ordain for me the good wherever it be, and cause me to please with it.
Amin.

Some times, I do question my life choices. Why am I here? Why am I still here?

I stop and take deep breath. Istighfar and remind myself to exercise calmness. I then go back to why did I first start, wanting to be here. It took me 3 attempts to finally get here, so, I shall be thankful. Third time is a charm indeed. Allah tests our perseverance and endurances. Alhamdullilah I've succeed.

Nope, I actually haven't. Success comes when I am truly thankful and being acceptance for where I am now. I have yet, to prove myself and my heart that. Inshallah Amin. Reasons to why am I here is simple, is to have a 5 working day job. With no doubt, lesser pay. But I am thankful. Never thought that Allah actually blessed me more than that, Alhamdulillah. Syukur, yes! The environment that I'm in is never clean. Dusty flying around and all, but I am contented and blessed. Scorching hot sun, heavy noises, surrounded by male dominated industry. Simple things that I am blessed with is to performing my daily prayers. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah! With colleagues who reminds me to prayer, Mashallah. Not only the Muslims but other races too. It's really heart warming, threfore I am Syukur.

Come to think of it, this is the reason why I am still here.
Alhamdulillah.

Being a year older doesn't change me for who I am. I am still me. Maybe I slightly grew heavier. I may changed in a sense that I'm wiser, perhaps. Stronger, yes. But all the case, I am still me. I am who I am. But above all that, I am thankful to be able to live and be better for tomorrows. Amin.

Earth control measures (ECM) are implemented in construction sites to prevent silt from polluting our waterways.
Construction activities inevitably involve land clearance, which leads to generation of bare surfaces i.e. exposure of soil to erosion. When it rains, silt washes down from the exposed earth surfaces.
Before starting any construction work, contractors are required to obtain the Clearance Certificate to commence works from Public Utilities Board (PUB) by submitting the ECM Plan, designed and endorsed by the Qualified Erosion Control Professional (QECP).
Contractors are then required to install the ECM on site according to the ECM Plan.
An effective ECM requires erosion control and sediment control with the primary focus on the earlier.

Prophet Hud was the Prophet sent to the Bani 'Ad for their reformation. His lineage genealogy joins with the Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) and his sons. Nuh had 3 sons who were saved from the flood-- Sam, Ham, and Yafith. The children of Sam were scattered in the Arabian Peninsula. Sam had a son named Iram. And one of Iram's sons was 'Ad. So they named the town after his son--the city was named 'Ad. The town of 'Ad was very dusty and located near Ahqaf, near Hadramout in Yemen.

Who were these people of 'Ad? They were the people that God sent to them the Prophet Hud. They lived near Hadramout, which is now in Yemen. There they built palaces, erected temples and worshipped deities and stars.

"Seest thou not how Thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people), of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars, the like of which were not produced in (all) the land?" (Qur'an 89:6-8)

The names of their chief deities were Saqi'ah, Salimah, Raziqah and Hafizun. This worshipping of statues came after a time when the people of 'Ad once believed in the one God.

"(Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate) Satan made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were Keen-sighted." (Qur'an 29:38)

The people of 'Ad were tall in stature and were skillful masons. God had given them abundance of wealth, cattle, children and gardens. They had attained a considerable degree of civilisation. Among them flourished the famous king Shaddad. He built a magnificent palace near 'Aden. It was known as the Garden of Iram. He was a mighty king and his conquests extended to Syria, Iraq and the frontier of Sub- continent of Indo-Pakistan. These people were proud of their achievements and considered themselves to be invincible. They were indulged in sins and committed acts of injustice and violence. Instead of expressing a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty God for the favors He had bestowed upon them, they became transgressors and showed disobedience to Him.

God sent to these people and to the city of 'Ad a man named Hud. Since he was a man from amongst them, it was certain that they would be more inclined to listen to him. The people of 'Ad used to call Hud a crazy man. There was one man in particular, named Abu Thamud, who used to call the people to listen to Hud speak. He wanted to prove to the people that Hud had indeed become crazy. The people asked Abu Thamud, "We know that Hud does not come to our gatherings nor does he believe in our gods. What has happened to him that he does not mingle with us?" Abu Thamud replied (mocking) that Hud declares that God sent him as a prophet and as a warner to the people of 'Ad. And unless they stop believing in statues, that a grievous punishment from God would occur.
The people of the city then decided to go to Hud and hear what he wanted from them. Hud replied that he did not want anything from them except that they believe in the One God.

The people of the city refused to believe and began to say that Hud had indeed gone crazy. Since they were so strong in body size, they used to believe that no one was more powerful than they. They insisted that they will not leave their gods. They also claimed that since Hud did not come with any signs, that he must be lying. Still another person said that if Hud wants them to leave their gods, then he must come with the punishment that he is talking about.

"To the 'Ad People (We sent) Hud, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship God! Ye have no other god but Him. You are only forgers. "O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him who created me: Will ye not then understand? "And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: So turn ye not back in sin!" They said: "O Hud! No clear (Sign) hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee! "We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with evil." He said: "I call God to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing to Him, "Other gods as partners!" (Qur'an 11:50-55)

However, Abu Thamud began to slowly listen to what Hud was talking about. He began to believe in what Hud was saying about the one God and about how man would be resurrected after death. When the people of the city began to hear what Abu Thamud was saying, they claimed that Hud must have put a spell on him. Abu Thamud insisted that Hud had put no spell on him but that he now believed that which Hud was saying. Abu Thamud further claimed that it is ridiculous to believe that statues that were made by man could have made the earth and all that it contained, along with the sky, stars, moon, and sun. He said that there surely had to be a higher being--One God.

Abu Thamud was now very happy and told the people that he was now going to look for Hud. Before he left, he reminded the people that they should take a close look at the way they were living and believing in statues. He stated that the statues have no power and were of no use. He further stated that they should look at their lives and how wasteful they were with gambling, intoxicants, and luxuries. Abu Thamud then proceeded to find Hud so that Hud could tell him more about God, the One, who created man with bounties and who will make man die and resurrect again. He then went to Hud and declared his faith in the one God.

Abu Thamud was then called Abdullah (the servant of God). He would get angry if anyone would call him by his previous name. The people of 'Ad still would come to Abdullah and try to convince him that Hud had put a spell on him. Each time Abdullah would declare his faith in the One God. Finally the people gave up on Abdullah. They gave him a message to give to Hud. They wanted to relate to Hud that they would continue to believe in their gods. And that they would never believe in what Hud was preaching. They also wanted Hud to come with the punishment he was talking about if what he said was true. Then the people of 'Ad returned to their homes laughing and mocking.

Abdullah went to Hud to relate to him what had happened. Hud said woe to them. Will they argue about the deities that they and their forefathers made with their own hands? Let them just wait. They deserve the punishment of God. He then stood up and prayed: "Give me victory on what they called me a liar." Then the order of God came - The punishment of no more rain. There was a terrible drought for three years. The grass and cattle were destroyed. Then a huge black cloud appeared. The people of 'Ad were very happy when they saw this cloud because they assumed that it contained much rain. They declared that this cloud would bring back the land and the rivers would flow again. Little did they know what was in store for them. Instead, this black cloud brought a terrible wind that would lift men up and then drop them with such force that they would crush. Many men even tried to escape this wind by hiding in the mountain caves. However, there was no escape from this wind. This wind would even follow them in the caves. The Holy Qur'an describes:
"And the 'Ad,-they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent: He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that you couldst see the (whole) people lying overthrown in its (path) as if they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!" (Qur'an 69:6-7)

The people of 'Ad used to boast that there was none stronger than they. God surely proved them wrong for their disobedience. God destroyed not only the people of 'Ad, but the entire city as well.

"Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! Did they not see that God, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!" (Qur'an 41:15)
Hud and his faithful followers who had left to another place, were the only ones who survived this terrible punishment from God.

"We saved him and those who adhered to him, by Our Mercy and We cut off the roots of those who rejected Our Signs and did not believe." (Qur'an 7:72)

Afterwards the remnant who survived established themselves in Yemen. The grave of the Prophet Hud (AS) is in Hadramaut. It is visited by the Muslims in the month of Rajab.
