Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System PWCS is one of the HDB Greenprint project to create a sustainable yet promote an environmental living space for our public housing. It has been a full swing for PWCS to be implemented to the newer BTO projects.

Most projects will share the same ODI bunker room whereby it centralised the system to all say 2-5 contracts. This too, arise questions on the waste management if there's mishap or malfunction to the bunker. Thus, it is crucial for our M&E team to re-look and prevent such cases to happen. However, this is a great step for HDB to actually move forward. And with this innovation, I too hope for our nation to go green.

At first if you don't succeed,
You can dust it off and try again.
Dust yourself off and try again.

This was one of the implementations that HDB has been auditing. With this, it allows the Consultant to exercise their diligence to monitor on the Contractor's works. With the uprising of feedbacks from residents, it is a good practise as to have a close supervision of the floor levelling top up screed as to minimise disputes and avoid excessive charges during their home renovations.

Death.

Death is always near. Being at the construction sites at times make me think about death. Not that I am hoping to die at work or like that, it just remind me of death when I'm underground. Or whenever they dig out the soil and you could smell, death.

Death. Death is always near.

This, brings a lot of fond memories. Of how I've started my journey. It's not that I had it worst, it was actually the start of something to where I am now. Those long working hours, burning weekends and amazing girlfriends! It was an experience that values friendship, hardship and time.

But what would they do, when our body aches?

Even though my job scope doesn't require me to equipped myself with structural knowledge, I feel contented to able to learn it still. Alhamdulillah. People called me crazy for renewing my RTO license. I don't see why this bothers them and I truly believe that it is never a waste to renew my license. This could be a great back up plan in case of any emergencies. Moreover, I strongly agree that knowledge is never ending. And yes, I could widen my networking skills!

Skimming is a technique to make the wall surface smoother in appearance before applying the sealer paint. It is often used with a sand-like brush to achieve it smooth finished. Skimming is a thin layer of coat as compared to plastering which is much more rougher in surface. The material used are also different. Skimming are designed to provide a smooth durable finish with excellent adhesion strength.

There are days where it's a battle field.
But all praise to Allah for blessing us.
Alhamdulillah.
