The Prophet Nuh (known as Noah in English) is an important character in Islamic tradition, as well as in Christianity and Judaism. The exact time period when Prophet Nuh (Noah in English) lived is unknown, but according to tradition, it is estimated to be ten generations or ages after Adam. It is reported that Nuh lived to be 950 years old (Qur'an 29:14).

It is believed that Nuh and his people lived in the northern part of
ancient Mesopotamia--an arid, dry area, several hundred kilometers from the sea. The Qur'an mentions that the ark landed on "Mount Judi" (Qur'an 11:44), which many Muslims believe is in present-day Turkey. Nuh himself was married and had four sons.
According to tradition, the Prophet Nuh lived among people who were stone-idol worshippers, in a society that was wicked and corrupt. The people worshiped idols called Wadd, Suwa', Yaguth, Ya'uq, and Nasr (Quran 71:23). These idols were named after good people who used to live among them, but as the culture went astray, it gradually turned these people into objects of idolatrous worship.
Nuh was called as a Prophet to his people, sharing the universal message of Tawhid:believe in One True God (Allah), and follow the guidance He has given. He called upon his people to give up their idol-worship and embrace goodness. Nuh preached this message patiently and kindly for many, many years.
As was true of so many of Allah's prophets, the people rejected Nuh's message and ridiculed him as a crazy liar. It is described in the Quran how people thrust their fingers into their ears so as not to hear his voice, and when he continued to preach to them using signs, they then covered themselves with their garments so as not to even see him. Nuh's only concern, however,  was to help the people and fulfill his responsibility, and so he persevered.
Under these trials, Nuh asked Allah for strength and help, since even after many years of his preaching, the people had fallen even deeper into disbelief. Allah told Nuh that the people had transgressed their limits and would be punished as an example for future generations. Allah inspired Nuh to build an ark, which he completed despite great difficulty. Although Nuh warned the people of the wrath to come, they mocked him for embarking on such an unnecessary task,
After the ark was completed, Nuh filled it with pairs of living creatures and he and his followers boarded. Soon, the land was drenched with rain and a flood destroyed everything on land. Nuh and his followers were safe on the ark, but one of his own sons and his wife were among the disbelievers destroyed, teaching us that it is faith, not blood, that bonds us together.
The actual story of Nuh is mentioned in the Quran in several places, most notably in Surah Nuh (Chapter 71) which is named after him. The story is expanded upon in other sections as well.

"The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. Behold, their brother Noah said to them: 'Will you not fear Allah? I am to you an apostle worthy of all trust. So fear Allah, and obey me. No reward to I ask of you for it; my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds" (26:105-109).

"He said, 'Oh my Lord! I have called to my people night and day. But my call only increases their flight from the right way. And every time I have called to them, that You might forgive them, they have thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance" (Quran 71:5-7).

"But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark. But We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people!"(7:64).

The flood that destroyed the people of Nuh is described in the Qur'an as a punishment for people who disbelieved in Allah and the message brought by Prophet Nuh.  There has been some debate over whether this was a global event or an isolated one. According to Islamic teachings, the Flood was intended as a lesson and punishment for a single group of wicked, disbelieving people, and it is not assumed to be a global event, as is believed in other faiths. However, many ancient Muslim scholars interpreted the Qur'anic verses as describing a global flood, which modern scientists theorize is impossible according to the archaeological and fossil record.
Other scholars state that the geographic impact of the flood is unknown, and could have been local. Allah knows best.

Those of you that are sick -inni massani al-durr wa-anta arham al-rahimin (al-Anbiya 21:83) - the Dua is already there. Nabi Ayuub (as) turns to Allah and says, “Ya Allah, the pain is getting to me.” He doesn’t even ask, “Ya Allah, cure me”, because he doesn’t know if that is the best thing. He just turn to Allah and says, “Ya Allah, there is no one who shows more love and more mercy and more carethan you. I already know that. My pain has not shaken my belief; my pain does not shaken my faith.” Most people when they feel a little discomfort, their faith is shaken. I pray that Allah makes us real people of Dua, real people of Tawakkul. I pray Allah does not make us those who gives up on Allah quickly. That our Dua to Allah brings us closer and closer to Him and make us those whom Allah gives strength of Imaan through their prayers. That if Allah does not provide what you are hoping for immediately, you learn to say to yourself in the circumstance that I am in, is absolutely better for me. This is the test of this life.

Stop asking yourself what did I do to deserve this? Stop asking yourself that question. Allah does not hate you, Allah did not abandon you. He doesn’t abandon His creation; He loves His creation. He created us after all and He made us in this beautiful way. All the good in your life, all the beautiful children we see in our families that they are a gift from Allah. They are not our making. They are a gift from Allah because He loves us all. The things that are around you, if you learned to appreciate them then your attitude towards Allah will change. You wouldn’t be people of complaint anymore. So I remind myself and you that the attitude, I deserve better, is not a good attitude. It’s not a healthy attitude. Allah knows what we deserve. As a matter of fact we start with the assumption that you and I deserve nothing. The slave deserves nothing; yet the Master gives anyway. He gives gifts so everything we do have, is a gift of Allah (‘azza wa-jall). May Allah (‘azza wa-jall) make us people of gratitude, make us a people of Tawakkul and make us a people of sincere, accepted Dua.

After the death of Abu Talib, Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ life was then on danger, so He ﷺ left for Taif with the hope of winning them over to Islam. On reaching Taif, He ﷺ visited the 3 chieftains of the clan separately, and placed before each of them the message of Allah, and called upon them to stand by his Prophet's ﷺ side.

Instead of accepting his message, they refused even to listen to him, treating him with the most contemptuous and rude manner. They plainly told him that they didn’t like his stay in their town.

Muhammad ﷺ, who was a rock of steadfastness and perseverances, did not lose heart over them and tried to approach the common people, but nobody wanted to listen to him. Instead they asked him to clear off from their town and go wherever else he liked. When He ﷺ realized efforts being made mean nothing, he decided to leave but they wouldn’t let him depart in peace, rather they set the street urchins after him, to hiss, to hoot, to jeer at and to stone him. He was so much pelted at with stones that his whole body was covered with blood, and his shoes were clogged to his feet. Muhammad ﷺ left the town in this woeful plight.

When he was away from the town, safe from the rabble, he prayed to Allah;
“O, my Allah! To Thee I complain of the feebleness of my strength, of my lack of resources and my being unimportant in the eyes of people, O, Most Merciful of all those capable of showing mercy! Thou art the Lord of the weak, and Thou art my own Lord. To whom art Thou to entrust me; to an unsympathetic foe who would sullenly frown at me, or to an alien to whom Thou hast given control over my affairs? Not in the least do I care for anything except that I may have Thy protection for myself. I seek shelter in Your Light-the light which illuminates the Heavens and dispels all sorts of darkness, and which controls all affairs in this world as well as in the Hereafter. May it never be that I should incur Thy wrath, or that Thou should be displeased with me. I must remove the cause of Thy displeasure till Thou art pleased. There is no strength nor power but through Thee.”

The Heavens were moved by the prayer and Jibrail (AS) appeared before Muhammad ﷺ , greeting him with Assalamu'alaikum and said;
“Allah knows all that has passed between you and these people. He has deputed an angel in charge of the mountains to be at your command.”

Saying this, Jibrail (AS) ushered the angel before the Prophet ﷺ. The angel greeted him and said;
“O, Prophet of Allah! I am at your service. If you wish, I can cause the mountains overlooking this town on both sides to collide with each other, so that all the people therein would be crushed to death, or you may suggest any other punishment for them.”

Muhammad ﷺ said;“Even if these people do not accept Islam, I do hope from Allah that there will be persons from among their progeny who would worship Allah and serve His cause.”

This was the conduct of Muhammad ﷺ, whom we should all follow. He ﷺ was already given the opportunity to punish these people who have made him bleed, but instead of that his love and merciful heart shun this and chose not to give them any trouble.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zubayr al-Makki that somebody asked a man for his sister in marriage and the man mentioned that she had committed fornication. Umar ibn al-Khattab heard about it and he beat the man or almost beat him, and said, "What did you mean by giving him such information?".

Babysitting you has been a joy. Watching you grow has been the greatest thing. From a tiny, sweetie pie to a reserved and independent teenager-kitty, it's been truly an amazing journey. Although I'm not always with you, it's been a great joy. With you, trying to wake me up for Subuh, meow-ing at me for food. And how you wait for me by the door till I'm home. I know you love me, I know. Because I love you too, Muffin.

Was watching my Criminal Minds and I heard Muffin’s meows, like the way she was interacting with Sonic. I rush over and saw this cockroach next to her! Good girl, Muff. Thank you for killing it for me, I couldn’t do it without you.

Rela menerima kenyataan walau sepahit mana pun hakikat.

"Sungguh mengagumkan keadaan seorang Mukmin, segala keadaan yang menimpanya dianggap baik. Apabila mendapat kesenangan dia bersyukur dan apabila ditimpa musibah dia bersabar. Dan itu lebih baik baginya."
Hadith Riwayat Muslim

Somedays, there will be the heat. Or the rain. Or maybe both. Nobody can understand the environment that one has to deal with while working, unless they feel it themselves. Nether less, Alhamdullilah. Because it reminds us of life. It's never perfect but we can deal with it anyway. Alhamdulillah.

firestop is a passive fire protection system made up of various components and used to seal openings and joints in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly. Penetrating cables are known as multi-cable transits (MCTs). Firestops are designed to fireproof a wall or floor assembly, impeding the spread of fire and smoke by blocking openings with fire-resistant materials.

A man came to the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?". The Prophet (saw) said, "Your mother." The man said, "Then who?" The Prophet said, "Then your mother." The man further asked, "Then who?". The Prophet said: "Then your mother." The man asked again, "Then who?". The Prophet said, "Then your father."

A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, “Never did I feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) except for Khadijah, although I have never seen her.”
She added, “When Allah’s Messenger slaughtered a sheep, he said: Send it to the friends of Khadijah.”
One day `A’ishah mentioned Khadijah in a way that made the Prophet Muhammad (saw) upset. He told `A’ishah, “I have been granted her love (by Allah)”.
